Online Support Groups

Evidence suggests that for some people, psychological intervention conducted in a group setting may work better than individual therapy. There are many benefits in engaging with online group counseling, and with telehealth it is it is easier and safer than ever to take advantage of the many live support groups in New York, New Jersey, and Florida that we currently offer. 

Group therapy allows you to see others who are getting getter, which instills hope and provides an opportunity to learn from watching others who are struggling with similar problems. Our online support groups are led by specifically trained and certified mental health professionals who have experience as group leaders.

The following groups are all-virtual and are now open for registration:

Virtual Autism Support Group

The Virtual Autism Support Group is designed to support adults with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

Although group settings may cause you anxiety, we are confident that we will be able to make you feel comfortable and supported. During the group sessions, you will learn and practice social skills that can help you be successful in relationships, at home, and at work.  We will help you develop skills you can use to cope with stress and anxiety, improve your social and communication skills, and gain more self-confidence.

The Autism Support is an online support group is an hourly group that meets once a week and led by a facilitator who an extensive history of supporting people with Autism.

How does the process work? The group facilitator sends out an agenda email a few days before with the format and the topic of the meeting. 


Is it a free-flowing group where people can discuss different topics? Or is it a specific topic at each session? There is a topic planned for each group but it's quite free-flowing and if something else comes up that can be discussed.

Virtual Anger Management Support Group

If you feel angry often, that your anger is in controls you and is hurting others in your life, or your anger causes you to say or do things you later regret, then you may benefit from participating in this group.

In this group you will learn what feelings could be causing your anger, and how to express it in a healthy way. 

The Anger Management Group a virtual online support group is an eight session hourly group that meets once a week and led by a facilitator who has completed extensive training in anger management.

Virtual Social Anxiety Support Group

The Virtual Social Anxiety Support Group is designed to support adults with social anxiety.

Social anxiety group therapy can be extremely effective in helping people manage symptoms of anxiety. Group therapy involves meeting with a professional and other people who also suffer from social anxiety to discuss your experiences, feelings, and ways to cope and find solutions to improve your symptoms.

Virtual Support Group for Parents of Children with Autism

The Virtual Autism Support Group is designed to support parents who have children with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

Are you a parent or caregiver of a child with Autism?

Is it hard to communicate with other parents because they do not understand what you are going through?

Our virtual, 8-week, Support Group for Caregivers and Parents of Children with Autism is for you. The Support Group a structured group for parents or caregivers of children, adolescents or adults with Autism. This group will provide a safe space for parents and caregivers to receive support. share concerns and experiences, and learn crucial skills to improve their interactions with their children

Virtual DBT Skills Support Group

Virtual DBT Skills Support Group

The group is appropriate for people who feel they have difficulties allowing negative emotions control their thoughts and lack the ability to handle distress. 

In this group you will learn coping skills to regulate emotions, control impulses, and how to deal with relationship conflicts. 

The DBT Skills Support Group is a completely online eight hour session group that meets once a week and led by DBT specialist.
