Parent Training & Coaching
Support for Parents of Children with ADHD and Autism
Being a parent of a neurodivergent child, especially after a new diagnosis, can feel overwhelming. Whether your child has recently been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), you don’t have to navigate this alone.
At Thriving Wellness Center, we offer personalized parent coaching and evidence-based parent training designed to empower you with tools, confidence, and clarity. Our services are grounded in compassion, backed by research, and tailored to meet your family's unique needs.
What is Parent Coaching?
Parent coaching is a collaborative, strengths-based process focused on equipping you with practical tools and a deeper understanding. Unlike therapy for your child, parent coaching is centered on you, the caregiver. We work with you to explore your child’s neurotype, decode behavior, and implement strategies that align with your values and goals.
Through our parent coaching and training, you'll gain practical tools to:
Understand how autism and ADHD influence your child’s behavior, learning style, and emotional regulation
Strengthen executive functioning and support greater independence at home and school
Establish realistic expectations and maintain consistent, predictable routines
Deepen your connection with your child through attuned, responsive parenting
Navigate school-related challenges, including IEPs, 504 plans, and classroom accommodations
Reduce meltdowns, shutdowns, and daily power struggles using compassionate, neurodiversity-affirming strategies
Our coaching is ideal for families seeking flexible, real-world support, available virtually or in-person.
You’ll also learn to:
Respond to challenging behaviors in constructive, non-punitive ways
Encourage positive behaviors through clear structure and reinforcement
Stay calm and communicate effectively, even during stressful moments
Build your child’s emotional resilience, flexibility, and self-confidence
